Myrtle and Viola Tyler Legacy Club

“When family members become sorority sisters, a Zeta legacy begins.”

Legacy Club History

From our sorority’s illustrious inception Jan. 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University, the bonds of family legacy began. Triumphant Founders Myrtle and Viola Tyler’s sisterly bond as family placed legacy in the DNA of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

The Zeta Legacy Train continues to roll as we uphold our founding principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Legacies are a group of unique women not only connected through sisterhood, but also blood. Zeta will thrive as the blue and white wave of sisterhood lasts an eternity.

During the 2016 Boule, under the leadership of International President Dr. Mary Breaux Wright, The Myrtle and Viola Tyler National Legacy Club was chartered. Since that time, thousands of Zetas have joined. Immediately after the induction ceremony at the Centennial Virtual Boule, the name officially changed to Myrtle & Viola Tyler International Legacy Club to reflect the legacies inducted across the world.

Whether your relationship is between mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and, of course, sister, the bond of legacy among family members has been from generation to generation for more than 100 years. As we move into the next century, we continue to celebrate the bonds Zeta Legacy has established. We invite and encourage every Zeta and her Legacy to join the Myrtle & Viola Tyler International Legacy Club as we continue to uplift and celebrate the Zeta Legacy Bond.

As our sorority moves forward, take your legacy by the hand, and if you have not already, join the Myrtle & Viola Tyler International Legacy Club. Legacies, we have to set the stage so that our relatives will be willing to join our illustrious organization. Let us be the light that shines in our community. We need to stand up and stand out as we mirror our Founding legacies Myrtle and Viola Tyler. Join this legacy train as a member of the Myrtle and Viola Tyler International Legacy Club.

With great honor, I was chosen as the Director of the MVTILC. Legacy is what I hold closest to my heart as I stand as a proud legacy of my mother. She was my epitome of Finer Womanhood. All that I do is in honor of her memory.

I am ecstatic to serve as the Co-Director of the MVTILC and represent the Second to Non-Southeastern Region, my grandmother, mother, and sister, all members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. I am proud to have walked in the footsteps of these beautiful women and others from the Great State of Georgia.
