March of Dimes

The onset of COVID-19 and the effect it is having on families around the world is devastating. With our medical system tested as never before, it is imperative that we “step up” the fight for healthy moms and strong babies. Even in the best of times, moms and babies rely on March of Dimes programs, research, advocacy, and health information every day. During this time of urgency, given the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for March for Babies is even more critical. Babies cannot wait. Mothers cannot wait. Pregnancies continue. Moms and babies carry significant health risks, and the COVID-19 pandemic is causing more stress on a healthcare system challenged to meet their needs. March for Babies will proceed, but in a new way until this is no longer the new normal. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorproated. will continue to help March of Dimes lead the fight for healthy moms, babies, and families.

Overview

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and March of Dimes fight for the health of all moms and babies. With the move of the MOD national headquarters to the Washington, DC area we are poised physically to accompany them as they legislate to improve the healthcare system. Empowering families with the knowledge and tools to have healthier pregnancies is necessary. Improving existing fundraising stakeholder collaborations and initiating new ones with associations, organizations, agencies, and companies is a cross-cutting priority for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and March of Dimes.

Fundraising (Walk for Babies)

Our Success—Year After Year After Year

Since becoming a national walk team in 1998, Zeta has raised more than $7 million for March of Dimes. The 2020 campaign contributed in a big way to this total. In 2020, Zeta’s M4B national campaign kicked off the year with its goal to raise $650,000.

By year’s end, our total was 681,676, which enabled Zeta to retain the title as MOD’s Top National Adult Service Partner and win the Alpha-Zeta Challenge for the fourth consecutive year.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all those who helped Team Zeta reach and surpass our 2020 goal!
