Mental Health America

Mental Health America Partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

On behalf of the International Mental Health Team, we are thrilled to inform you of our partnership with Mental Health America.  We are the sorority of FIRSTS! We are the first greek letter organization to partner with MHA and they are excited to partner with us. The mission of Mental Health America is to advance the mental health and well-being of all people living in the U.S. through public education, research, advocacy and public policy, and direct service. Partners like us help to maximize reach by sharing resources, promoting and integrating their materials into our programs and mental health month campaigns, and this is what fuels the mission of prevention and mental wellness for all. Mental Health America started Mental Health Month back in 1949, so it only makes sense to partner with another organization of FIRSTS!

The purpose of Mental Health Month is to raise awareness, educate the public about mental health conditions, and reduce the stigma that surrounds these conditions.

One in five Americans will experience a mental health condition in a given year, and 50% of Americans will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.

It is important that those experiencing early symptoms of a mental health condition know what to look for, and that individuals are educated about how a mental health condition might feel.

Now more than ever, mental health is at the forefront of our collective consciousness, and it’s time to act. Whether it’s seeking help, supporting local initiatives, practicing self-care, or advocating for change—every step we take together creates a healthier, more compassionate society. Check out the website for resources that can guide you on where to start on your mental health journey and/or join one of the educational events or workshops facilitated by our local chapters.

Take the confidential online screening and see how you are really doing. This link and/or QR code can also be incorporated in mental health campaigns and numerous programs as we advance the Power of S.H.E.
