Make the One4One Pledge Today,
Learn More about Cervical Cancer
&
Support Zeta's Community Initiatives
Have you spoken with your healthcare
provider about cervical cancer? Did you know that cervical cancer is one of the
most preventable types of cancer?
The 22nd
International President, Barbara Crockett Moore, invites
the Zeta family to join our partner, the
Black Women’s Health Imperative, in their efforts to increase cervical cancer
awareness and prevention.
Zeta’s community initiative, Z-HOPE™, is in full support of this health
promotion initiative, One4One, a cervical cancer education,
prevention and awareness campaign.
In the
U.S., an average of 10 women die each day from
cervical cancer. That's a mother, sister, daughter or friend who might not be
around to share a laugh, smile, kiss or hug with you. The loss of any life to
cervical cancer is one too many because the disease is preventable.
Through the One4One campaign, you have the power to help
educate yourself and other women about this potentially devastating disease by
taking one simple step in less than 30 seconds -
pledging to talk to your healthcare
provider. Simply, visit One4One
and make the pledge today!
Each person who makes the
"free"
One4One pledge, between April 24 and
June 5, 2008, will also help the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority strengthen its
Z-HOPE™ efforts. For every pledge made, Merck and Co., Inc., will donate up to
$5 to the Black Women’s Health Imperative.
For every member or Zeta supporter who designates the "Black Women's Health
Imperative" as the sole recipient of the $5 donation from Merk, the Imperative
will donate $1 to the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Merck is dividing a $ 1 million donation between the Imperative and four other
organizations dedicated to improving cervical cancer education, prevention and
awareness. After making the pledge, women can designate the Imperative as the
sole recipient of a $5 pledge or elect to divide the $5 donation among all five organizations, each
receiving a $1 donation.
The amount that the Imperative and Zeta receives
depends on the number of women who make the pledge and designate the Black
women’s Health Imperative as the sole recipient of the $5 donation.
Don't wait! In less than 30 seconds, you can:
